On the first page of the guide, there are 14
types of student products listed. All student products,
no matter what the subject or content area, should fall into one
of the 14 categories. Choose one of the
14 categories.
After you have chosen your category, the guide will automatically
generate a two-part template. Part I, Communication of Content,
is not interactive; rather, it matches the type of communication
you have chosen.
Part II, Craftsmanship of Expression, is interactive. You click
only those items that apply to your student product. For example,
if the product is designed with desktop publishing, the category
"Voice and Sound" would not be clicked.
You will then be asked to choose holistic descriptions or analytical
descriptions of the criteria you will be assessing. The analytical
version gives detailed descriptions, while the holistic version
gives a briefer version of the same information.
Finally, you can choose to leave the scoring cells blank, or
have the program automatically generate a score that equals 100.
