As of September 30, 2005, the North Central Regional Technology in Education Consortium is no longer in operation.
Students will research past, current, and future farming methods of weed eradication by compiling information found on the Internet; interviewing relatives and friends who are or have been engaged in farming; and using print materials found in their classroom, school, or public library, or pamphlets available through their local county extension agents.
Students will compare farming practices, such as no till, crop rotation, herbicides, and cultivation methods. If applicable, students also may compare current farming methods with those used prior to World War II and/or current Amish and Mennonite methods.
Each student will share his/her research with the class with oral reports and visual aids.
