Children can identify the state of a liquid. Children cannot identify any examples of a liquid. Children can identify one or two examples of a liquid. Children can identify three or more liquids and verbalize the characteristics that make their choices liquids.
Children can identify the state of a solid. Children cannot identify any examples of a solid. Children can identify one or two examples of a solid. Children can identify three or more solids and verbalize the characteristics that make their choices solids.
Children can identify the state of a gas. Children cannot identify any examples of a gas. Children can identify one or two examples of a gas. Children can identify three or more gases and verbalize the characteristics that make their choices gases.
Children can identify more than one state of matter in a picture or design their own picture that depicts more than one state of matter. Children cannot identify in a picture or design their own picture with examples of more than one state of matter in the same picture. Children can identify in a picture or design their own picture with examples of two states of matter. Children can identify in a picture or design their own picture with examples of all three states of matter.
