Final Project and Rubric
GIS Lesson

Grades will be assigned based on the following:

  1. Quick quiz (25 points)
  2. Student handout (25 points)
  3. Final Overlay Project comprises the following:
    Students are asked to answer the final project question, "Where would be the best place to put the manufacturing plant?"

  4. Cut out each coverage (5 points).
  5. Design a key on a separate piece of paper that lets you color each coverage in a specific way. Color each coverage and explain what is contained on each of the coverages (5 points/coverage -- total of 25 points).
  6. Use the overlay procedure to find the intersection of all possible variables. Paperclip together and then copy in the box below or a similar larger box using the correct color scheme (10 points).
