Students will be working in a variety of group settings: large groups, small groups, partners, etc. Students may also be working individually. During small group instruction, the teacher should rotate among groups to facilitate and direct learning.
Students will utilize a variety of work settings: the classroom, the media center, the computer lab, etc.
Small group configurations will allow the teacher to provide additional help. You also might address special needs within the small group configuration. For example, you might pair a nonreader with a student who is a good reader.
