4. Did your students experience any difficulties putting the pieces together?

The group had done similar projects before. They felt comfortable and confident enough even when there were times that they would get stuck or didn't know exactly how they were going to go about a particular process. They weren't afraid of that, so I think that was the biggest obstacle to overcome—just not being afraid of trying and not being afraid of being frustrated. And since we were learning together—there are many things that I don't know about the computer as well—I would be feeling their frustration, and their excitement too, when we learned a new skill. I think just the fact that we were working at it together made a big difference.
