1. Did students have trouble with the typing? How do you support students' needs in this area? Do you use typing software?

At the Learning Center we don't really focus on typing as a skill. There is certainly software that students can use to improve their typing. We're more interested in the process of the writing and gaining the skill in how to spellcheck and things like that. Since the literacy programs encourage technology use on an almost daily basis, students had already used the computer many times to write essays, poems, [and] stories, so students had already learned the keyboard at that point.
