5. Learners mentioned parenting and helping children with technology as goals they had. How did this course support those goals?

Crystal: We gave them ideas for projects to do with their children using technology. And then we also tried to show them ways that they could get their hands on some technology that they could work with, with their children by introducing them to the computer access available at the public library.

We brought in a community college contact that actually ended up connecting some of the adult students with the community college, but also some of the adult students and their older children with the community college as a result of that. We did a lot with not only younger children, but [also] with the older children that were looking for a place to go after high school. And now their parents may be working on something at the community college and they are too.
