4. Did you have reference materials available so students could problem-solve on their own?
Dave: The reference materials we had were not what you might see as traditional. I think what we used for reference was each other in the classroom. They certainly had printed materials about the technology that we used as we used each thing, but I don't think anybody used it. I think the only reference we had is their peer group, because they identified pretty early that some of them were catching on to spreadsheets a little bit better than others. And then if not [them], they used us.
