1. How do you do an activity like this when you have to deal with erratic student attendance?

Erratic student attendance is a fact of life in adult literacy programs because adult learners, by definition, have other lives and other roles so they're not often able to attend a class as much as they would really like to. These electronic field trips are ideal activities for such programs because they do not have to be started at a particular time. They do not have to really continue in sequence, but they can be added now and again as a part of what else is going on in a literacy program.
