At Beginning One Level the focus is on fluency, not on accuracy. Most of the students have never written anything in English before. Basically what I do is I show them a model, and the model is myself. From that model the students write their stories. At that time I think I was just working on getting them to use a word processor. I wasn't really focusing on any specific grammatical skills. The grammar that I teach is how to capitalize, how to add a period, when to use a comma, but I don't really teach writing skills. I think the writing skills are developed from writing.
