14. How were the students' stories put on the World Wide Web?

The students wrote their stories, and they used two programs depending on which tool they liked to use. Some liked using Writing Center and some liked using ClarisWorks. Once they had typed the story, they saved it as a text file and added what is called HTML code. There are several places that you can go to find out how to do that, Web66 [http://web66.coled.umn.edu/] being one of them. And once they had put their codes in, they would use a program called Fetch to load it onto the computer that served or showed their stories to anybody who wanted to look at it in the world.
