A listserv is basically an address that someone can send a message
to saying, "I want to join the Memories listserv." And when you
send that message you are added to a list of people, and every time
you send a message to that address, all 1,000 or 2,000 people on
that list get your message. And if your message is a question, then
the answer that is sent back to you everybody gets the answer to.
So it's kind of like an online discussion group. A place where you
can just sit back and watch and read everybody's questions and answers
or discussions. Or you can actually be involved and ask your own
questions and receive answers. It is like an online learning community.
