6. Did students assess themselves, and if so, what did it entail?

Throughout their project they are always filling out lists of, basically a list of questions: "Did I write my story so that someone can visualize what happened here?" Or, "Is it clear what my character's personality is?" And they have to be able to answer those questions looking at their story. So things like that happen with their own assessment. At the end of every project I always have my students say what grade they think they deserve and explain why they think they deserve that grade, what they felt that they had done or where they felt their growth was. But in turn they also assess the unit and what they feel wasn't helpful for them, and what they feel was helpful for them, and what they think that I could do to make the unit better.
