4. Did you give students a list of what had to be included in their stories?

Yes, the student's story had to be based on actual memories from the person they had communicated with. They had to have some documentation of communications they had made with that person; questions they had asked and answers they had received. They had a sheet that they had to fill out where they had checked their spelling; they had checked their grammar; they had looked for proper capitalization, proper punctuation; where they had looked at one of the things they had to turn in was a characterization map of their character so that they had really thought about what their character was going to be like. They had a story structure map that they filled out before they wrote their story. So all of those things were turned in.
