3. Did students have a list of objectives they had to include in the finished product?

Yes, there is always criteria, just like in the real world. When you have a job, there is some goal or some criteria that you are required to accomplish and then you are sent off to do that. It doesn't really matter how you go about doing it, just so you come up with a finished product. That is the same thing I do with my students. Some need different kinds of coaching from me to get to that point, but they all know in the beginning what they are required to do by the end.
