5. Did students work on the projects (developing the stories) individually or as a group?

I always give my students the opportunity to work with other students if that is what they want to do. What is important about that is using the Johnson and Johnson collaborative group model. Students always have a specific thing that they are required to complete and turn in to me at the end. Now if there is another student that they want to work with at a computer, and evaluate what each other is writing and work together, that is fine, just as long as the person who is creating the report is typing it and the person who is helping is sitting next to them, giving advice or working with them. They are required to have a peer look at something they have written and write some type of a comment on everything they write. So some of it is forced, but generally the students decide who they are going to work with and when they are going to work with them.
