2. What should the computer-to-student ratio be for this activity? Should it remain at 2:1 even if more computers are available?

I like the 2:1 ratio because that forces people to interact with each other as they look for things and they work together on the computer. Therefore, they practice more English. If it's an activity where I really feel that it's the interaction and the clarifications that students get from working together [that] is more important than the number of computers I have, then I leave it at 2:1 and say they must work together. If it's something like, "I am going to use this time to explore the Internet for myself and my own presentation," then I will let people spread out if there are more computers available.
