PROJECT MANAGEMENT

6. Do you often work with other teachers to plan activities?

At Greenwood, the fifth-grade classes we departmentalize in some of the areas. Last year, Ms. Willms taught social studies and reading for my students, and I taught math and science to her students. A lot of times, we have to coordinate a lot of activities. Greenwood also has a program called Science Activity Day. At the grade levels, we plan an activity for the afternoon for our students. When we do that Ms. Willms, myself, and our special population teacher—behavior disorder classroom—all get together and decide on what science project we are going to do. Quite often we, at Greenwood, work collaboratively with other teachers.
