5. How is this unit interdisciplinary?

When we created this, we wanted to make sure that, of course, it covered the area of social studies, and then we also realized that the students would do a lot of writing, so that incorporates your English, research skills—again English—and then in their spreadsheet, math, and then on their travel posters, art. They did all the hand drawing of pictures and things for their art and lettering and that sort of thing. So, it encompassed quite a few academic areas from one project.
