We used a number of different software. We used, of course, Hyperstudio
for the multi-media presentation. We also used Automap. The kids
used that to find routes from city to city, so they would have actual
travel directions on how to get from one city to another city. It
also produced maps which the kids could then download and color
and doctor up and work with. We also used the 3-D atlas which is
a program that has maps and information on different cities. We
also used Grolier's Encyclopedia so the kids could look up the city
and get some basic information about that city. Sometimes they used
some of the information on the history of the city in their travel
posters.
