3. What materials did you use?

In the course of this particular project, we used a number of CD-ROMs—some we bought and some that came in the computer system. Of course, we use the computer; of course we use computer paper. We had to use some kind of drawing tools. The kids could use crayons, markers, or whatever, to create their travel posters. We need the paper for the travel posters. They put all their work into folders and, of course, they used their own loose leaf paper for that for gathering of information. They did use a few reference books. We did use some of the travel guide books from the library like the Mobile Travel Guide and some of the Frommer's travel guides and Fodor travel guides, so that could help them. In case somebody else was using the online resources and the kids still wanted to look for hotels and restaurants, they could do that using the hard copies of the travel guides. In that way, people didn't have a lot of down time while they were waiting to get on the computer to use that particular resource.
