5. What did each fate card say?

There were good fates, and there were bad fates. Some of the good things that could happen to these students were they discovered a shortcut to the next city. They begged themselves gas, so they got money for that. Also, good fates; they may discover a relative or a friend in the city, and they were able to stay at their house instead of a hotel. So they saved money for that. Bad fates were flat tires, they got lost on the way to the city, lost time, and therefore, spent more money on gas. There were some other ones. Bridge out—take an alternate route—bad weather sometimes happens when you go on vacations. They couldn't leave the city and they had to stay a day longer. Therefore, they had to pay more for their hotel. Those were examples of some of the fates that students encountered.
