5. How do you suggest contacting experts willing to correspond with students via e-mail for similar projects?
In my experience, students like to correspond via e-mail with experts in the field. If one is using an electronic trip that is produced by Passport to Knowledge and other groups such as the National Science Foundation's National Science and Technology Week, those groups have already assembled groups of experts who are willing to correspond with learners. They have generally set up their systems so that, I would say, probably teachers in the K-12 system know more about it. But they are very happy to talk to learners of all ages.
