Technology Challenges During Teachers' Induction Years
Part 8: Conclusion
Technology can be a valuable resource in the classroom. When used appropriately it can add a new dimension to students' learning. However, when new teachers are not fully prepared to use technology, or a school is not quite sold on the idea of technology use, problems can and do arise. It is our belief that the potential benefits of technology use make it both reasonable and important for schools and teachers to address challenges and issues that arise during teachers' induction years. It is our hope that the ideas presented in this paper will help new teachers, administrators, and others who work with induction teachers to improve teaching and learning - especially through instructional technology.
